On Friday the 28th August we did a treasure hunt. We had to go around half of the school and find little gumboots and they had little numbers on the back of them. We could win headphones, Eskimo pies, money and more. We were raising money for Sam Godsiff-Johnson and the charity I Am Hope.
Kia ora! I am a year 4-5 student in Te Maunga at Paihia School, New Zealand. My teachers are Mrs Pou and Mr Ngata.

Dinorama
In Te Maunga we made dioramas. I learnt that a carnivore is a dinosaur that eats other dinosaurs. I wish that I had seen the volcano eruption. My favourite dinosaur is a T-Rex that eats other dinosaurs.
Sound Scape
In Te Maunga we did a soundscape. I learnt that Taonga Puoro means musical instruments in Maori. We used sand and leaves for a person walking on the ground then we used our voice for a snake and we used a tap and a bucket for a waterfall.
