Matariki

In Te Maunga we have been learning about Matariki. I learnt that Matariki is a cluster not a consolation and there are only 500 stars but six or seven can be seen with the naked eye or a telescope. One thing I liked doing was the rock painting because I got to make a special rock with my nans names on the rock. I learnt about plaiting the string for the poi.

 

Measurements

 In Te Maunga we have been learning about measurements, temperature, time and volume. I learnt how to measure different items with a book. My favourite activity was volume. I want to learn more about volume.
