Pal Day
On the last day of term 3 we did another PAL day. We played red light, green light, basketball and touch and other cool things. The one thing I liked doing was tug of war and touch because I scored a goal and because I won all of my games for tug of war. I learnt that if you give it a go you might like it.
What I did in the weekends
First me and my mum cleaned up the place and then we went to the hair salon and mum got her hair done. After that I waited for my two sisters to get home from school. Once they did we got ready to go out for dinner with my dad. Once we got to Whangarei, we went to my aunty’s house and stayed there for a bit waiting for my dad to get home from work. Once he did we picked him up and went to go and get sushi and sit by the river and feed the tuna. I learnt if you are going to feed the tuna they will not just came out strat out you need to have patients

Shakeout Day
In Te Te Maunga we did a shakeout day. Shakeout day is when you do a drill like there was a real earthquake. We learnt about what you should do when there is an earthquake. When there is an earthquake alert you should drop cover and hold. That means drop down and cover yourself with a table and hold onto a table leg until earthquakes are finished.

Pal Day
On the last day of term three we did PAL day. The things we did were Obstacle courses, running games and sprints and other cool games. The one game I liked doing was sprint because it was fun and challenging. For sprints you need one partner. First one of the partners runs first then they pass the baton to the other partner to run all the way to the end and back and whoever gets there first wins. I learnt that if you try your best it is really fun.
Olympics
In Te Maunga we have been reading about the Olympics. I learned about Violet Walrond. Violet was the youngest swimmer at the 1920 Olympics. My favourite part was making the notable names. The first thing you have to do for reading is read the books and then do three notable names. Next you have to do what the difference is between modern and ancient and then after you have done that you make up your own sports. Next you have to research three people that did Olympics or still do Olympics and then you are finished. I learnt that Yvette Williams broke the Olympic Record.

Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori
In Te Maunga we have been doing Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. I learned some more Te Reo Maori. The one thing I like doing was the code breaker. It was hard but then easy at the same time. You had to do a Maori puzzle, figure out the Maori number and write down what colors the Maori flag was in Te Reo Maori. Once you do that you will get a prize. The prize was a gold cup. I learned more about Te Reo by doing this task.

Lockdown
At home I was doing a lot of farming with my Papa and other cool activities like making frozen honey, riding the quads, playing hide and seek with my nephew around the farm and cows. Me and my nephew were too scared to hide close to the cows because they might charge at us so we did not hide close to them. We also did other cool things. I learnt how to stay safe when it is level 4 lockdown with my family. The one thing I liked doing was helping my Papa feed the cows. I learnt that don’t go into other peoples bubbles because they might have the flu and it can be contagious and if you are with your Nan and Papa in lockdown you might bring it home to them and they will get really sick

Science
In Te Maunga we have been doing science. We learnt how to make a science board and I learnt how to make a rubber band car out of rubber bands, ice block sticks and lots of tape. The one thing I liked doing was all the little experiments. I learnt that you always have to use a hypothesis when you are starting an experiment.

Nanogirl
In Te Maunga we went to see Nanogirl. We learnt about science. The one experiment I liked was the toilet paper one when she got a leaf blower and got two people to hold the stick and she blew the toilet paper around. I learnt that you always have to look at what the dangers are before doing a dangerous experiment.

Matariki
In Te Maunga we have been learning about Matariki. I learnt that Matariki is a cluster not a consolation and there are only 500 stars but six or seven can be seen with the naked eye or a telescope. One thing I liked doing was the rock painting because I got to make a special rock with my nans names on the rock. I learnt about plaiting the string for the poi.

Team Building
In Te Maunga we did team building. We learned how to work as a team. For team building we get into a group, then we get an activity to do and then we would have to work together to finish the activity first or the fastest. The one thing I liked doing was the hula hoop game. I learnt if you work together and do the activity fast then you will win a prize.

Kora Sea Creatures
In Te Maunga We did our sea Creatures Reading. We learned about all kinds of different sea creatures. First we had to do our four slides then we had to do report writing. After our report writing we had to do a fact file. My favorite part was doing my fact file. I want to learn more about sea animals.
Kora Hauora
In Te Maunga we did our Hauora reading. We learned to use subheadings, write quotes and to use information to answer questions. For our Hauora we first had to do our slides then we had to do our poster and a Scratch animation and then an explanation. The one thing I like learning was doing my explanation. I want to eat healthier.

Research Project.
In Te Maunga we did a research project. We learned about how to research different things like animals. First we had to pair up with a buddy once we did that we had to decide on what thing we were going to search about. When we were finished we marked it on the hand in sheet. The one thing I learned about was that eagle rays can leap their entire bodies out of the water while swimming close to the surface.

In Te Maunga we did Statistics.We learnt how to collect data and make a tally Chart. First we had to buddy up with a classmate then we had to write down how we were going to collect the data. After we got the data we went to make a tally chart. My favourite part was collecting the data from the people in our classroom. I would go a bit faster next time we do this.

Food For Thought
In Te Maunga we did Food For Thought. We learnt about how much sugar is in drinks, what food you should eat the most and sometimes and occasionally and we learnt how to read how much sugar, salt and fat is in foods. My favourite part was going to the 4 Square and finding different kinds of food that are the colors of the rainbow. I am going to eat more healthier food.

Amazing Easter Auction
In Te Maunga we did an easter auction. I learnt how to spend my money wisely and how an auction works.My favorite part about the auction was buying the easter eggs and eating them at home. I learnt that when the bigger eggs are there, try to get the big eggs.
What do you know about the sea?
On March 24th we had visitors in to Paihia School. We learned about fish some shells and we also learned about how to keep a whale safe when it is on the beach and it can’t move . My favorite part about the visit was looking at all kinds of different shells. I learnt that when there is a whale on the beach don’t try carrying the whale because you might hurt the whale.

Maori Art
In Te Maunga we have been learning about art. We drew our maunga in our books for a practise and then coloured it in with pastel. My favourite part about this artwork was coloring my art in with pastel. I learnt how to draw hard Maori patterns.
Tsunami Warning
On Friday March 5 me and my mum evacuated because of the tsunami. We went up to my nans and papas that had a big hill but it was in Kaikohe. The best part of the evacuation was that I could hang out with my mum by myself. I learnt that when you see or hear the alarm you need to move fast.
