Pal Day

On the last day of term 3 we did another PAL day. We played red light, green light, basketball and touch and other cool things. The one thing I liked doing was tug of war and touch because I scored a goal and because I won all of my games for tug of war.  I learnt that if you give it a go you might like it.

What I did in the weekends

First me and my mum cleaned up the place and then we went to the hair salon and mum got her hair done. After that I waited for my two sisters to get home from school. Once they did we got ready to go out for dinner with my dad. Once we got to Whangarei, we went to my aunty’s house and stayed there for a bit waiting for my dad to get home from work. Once he did we picked him up and went to go and get sushi and sit by the river and feed the tuna. I learnt if you are going to feed the tuna they will not just came out strat out you need to have patients

Shakeout Day

In Te Te Maunga we did a shakeout day. Shakeout day is when you do a drill like there was a real earthquake. We learnt about what you should do when there is an earthquake. When there is an earthquake alert you should drop cover and hold. That means drop down and cover yourself with a table and hold onto a table leg until earthquakes are finished.

Pal Day

On the last day of term three we did PAL day. The things we did were Obstacle courses, running games and sprints and other cool games. The one game I liked doing was sprint because it was fun and challenging. For sprints you need one partner. First one of the  partners runs first then they pass the baton to the other partner to run all the way to the end and back and whoever gets there first wins. I learnt that if you try your best it is really fun.

Olympics

In Te Maunga we have been reading about the Olympics. I learned about Violet Walrond. Violet was the youngest swimmer at the 1920 Olympics. My favourite part was making the notable names. The first thing you have to do for reading is read the books and then do three notable names. Next you have to do what the difference is between modern and ancient and then after you have done that you make up your own sports. Next you have to research three people that did Olympics or still do Olympics and then you are finished. I learnt that Yvette Williams broke the Olympic Record.

Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori

In Te Maunga we have been doing Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori. I learned some more Te Reo Maori. The one thing I like doing was the code breaker. It was hard but then easy at the same time. You had to do a Maori puzzle, figure out the Maori number and write down what colors the Maori flag was in Te Reo Maori. Once you do that you will get a prize. The prize was a gold cup. I learned more about Te Reo by doing this task.
